why I write

I don't write for you.
not really.
on the other hand,
I don't write for myself either.

I write because I like
to think
and brood
and ponder
over my day,
the things around me.

I write because I am
unwilling, or
unable,
to share my emotions
with others verbally.

I write because I want to.

If that bothers you,

selfish
or vain
or at the very least
crazy,

what I write.
