There is nothing more inherently satisfying than to see a dream fulfilled. Something that you have waited, hoped, and worked toward. Something so desirous that other things pale in comparison. The thrill of that victory, so sweet, so engulfing, captures your whole being.

But the moment is fleeting. The victory, short. Life continues, and brings obstacles and trouble and problems. 

A great musician once told me that every song is a series of questions and answers. Call and response. No matter what the genre, no matter what the performer decides to do with it, the song in itself is filled with questions and answers. 

Life is a song, in this way at least. Daily, yearly, we are asked questions of purpose. We answer, respond by living in such a way to make the answer into something we want. We live into the questions of life, achieving answers, small and large. But a new question is always waiting just around the corner, trying to sneak up to surprise us. 

So follow your dreams. Live them out. But be ready, when the next big question comes your way. Be prepared to face another question, and follow a new dream.
