The iPhone erupted,
and just as it did,
our brains became less than the
smallest of quid.
Data, now instant,
and never far off,
is wasted when stored,
so oft it is not.
Gone are the days of
memorized facts.
Of knowing that painting
or recalling the past.
Now our little fingers
catch the string of the news,
before breaking to check
on the facebook blues.
All of it fleeting,
none stored for long
because RAM is far simpler
than our brain's soupy ROM.
